Lisa Murray

Kia ora koutou,

My name is Lisa Murray and I am incredibly humbled to join the Tamahere Model Country School community this year and I am excited to get to know everyone.

I am an experienced teacher with a range of year level experience coming from David Street School in Morrinsville. This year I am teaching in Kowhai 4 where I look forward to sharing my absolute love for teaching and learning.

I love being active and spending time down on the farm, exercising, or at the beach in Mount Maunganui. Most of all I love spending time exploring new playgrounds and parks with my three young children and husband, Joe. My son Millen is also new to Tamahere in year one and I am very fortunate having my two littlies across the road at Lil Pumpkins. We are a busy family who love being active. I look forward to 2019 and all that it brings.

Amin Virk

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to those I haven’t met yet. My name is Aman Virk and I am excited to be your child’s classroom teacher in Titoki 6. This is my first year teaching at Tamahere Model Country School. Prior to Tamahere I was working as a team leader at Sunshine Pre School in Te Rapa. I am both a Primary and ECE qualified teacher and have 8 years of teaching experience working with 4-5 years old constantly developing ‘Readiness to School Skills’ essential for a smooth transition into Primary school. I am very enthusiastic about the teaching profession and see my role as a facilitator of student’s learning by creating a supportive environment where children are given the opportunity for self-discovery, to question, to take risks and to satisfy their curiosity to become critical thinkers and life-long learners. I am looking forward to getting to know your child and whānau and forming a strong partnership to support your child’s learning.

George Glenn

I am very excited to be starting the new school year off at a new school with a fantastic bunch of students in Mahoe 17! I have spent the past four years teaching at Otorohanga South School and previous to that I was teaching in Hawera.

I am from a rural Cambridge background and have a passion for all things outdoors with one of my main hobbies being spending time out on the water fishing.

I look forward to meeting more of our tamariki and whanau throughout the year.
