Pirongia’s Year 4 Camp

posted Jun 5, 2018, 8:18 PM by Reception @TMCS   [ updated Jun 5, 2018, 8:19 PM ]

By all accounts our Pirongia Syndicate had a marvellous camp experience last week!  The weather was stunning, the very cold frosts gave way to the most beautiful days. Our Year 4 students had an incredible time experiencing the many outdoor activities on offer as did our staff and camp parents.

Our very special thanks to our wonderful parent helpers, you make these amazing camps possible and we couldn’t do it without you! And finally, thank you Mrs Yuen for planning and organising such a successful camp!

Please enjoy the student writing and photos below:

The Black Slide

As I approached the black slide I was nervous through my veins. The boys before me had a rash from going down the slide but luckily I had my wetsuit on. I felt like I couldn't move and I froze. It was my go! Terrified, I closed my eyes and lay down. Woosh! I was off!

Soon I was shooting, rapid and swift as even more of the ginormous black slide lay in front of me. It was as dark as the midnight sky. I was terrified to bits as I let out an out raging yelp. Yuck! Water slapped me in the face as I rammed through it. It was a total failure nightmare.

As I headed back up I felt so proud and happy I had had a go. That was the most freakiest ride ever!
