As a staff we have been participating in Professional Learning Development around mindfulness.  As a nation there has been an increase in anxiety among people, including children. We, as a school, have noticed this and want to address it by helping our children to develop strategies to become more confident and build inner strength and overall well-being and happiness.  


Our Professional Learning has been looking at a programme called Pause, Breathe, Smile.  This is an 8 week wellness programme that has lots of fun, interactive and energizing tasks that help children to feel more empowered, happy and confident.  We will be incorporating this learning over the duration of Term 3 and look forward to the possible benefits.
