Kia atawhai aa mua – Kia tipu ngatahi - Nurturing our future - Growing together

It takes a whole village to raise a child! I would like to thank our wonderful parents, particularly in our Junior school – Taupiri, who have been so supportive and nurturing towards a number of our younger students struggling to fit into their new classes and our school environment. It takes some children significantly longer to settle into school routines than others and we appreciate that parents have been nurturing and encouraging in your thinking and actions. Thank you for being so inclusive, empathetic and understanding towards others, every child adds to the richness and diversity of our school and each one of us has different challenges that we need to overcome throughout our lives. To be able to make mistakes and learn in a supportive and nurturing school environment is so important.

Thanks to extra funding from our Board of Trustees, we are very pleased to announce the appointment of a number of new teacher aides into our school who will be helping to support individual children which will in turn support the Teacher and all students in the class.

Welcome onto our team: Vicki Foden,  Penny Barclay,  Lonni Nooyen and Sarah Ritchie, all parents of our school, who will soon be working alongside students to support learning. We are waiting for Ministry funding to come through as well, before all of our new Teacher Aides can be involved.
