On Saturday 27th October our Year 5 and 6 Jump Jam team competed in the 'Advanced Open' category of the Jump Jam Nationals Competition in Tauranga.  Taking the stage just after 6pm our 10 students performed the best they ever had and the results were outstanding. A highly successful day for: Lucy C, Ella P, Sienna Ma, Sienna M, Maddie W, Emma W, Liv B, Safia M, Ruby W, Claire J, as they were placed 2nd overall which is a HUGE achievement.  They also received certificates for the following: Excellence in Sportsmanship; Excellence in Costume; Excellence in Creativity; Distinction in Presentation and Distinction in Technical Execution.  A big CONGRATULATIONS to the team. All of your dedication and hard work leading up to the competition was well worth it!

After months and months of practise, the year 3/4 Jump Jam Team, 'The Nicest Kids in Tamahere' travelled to Tauranga with Miss Murphy to compete in the North Island competition. They were in the top division for their age group and came away with an incredible second place! They also received a merit award for creativity, excellence in sportsmanship, presentation and costume, and a distinction in technical execution. The judges were particularly impressed with the sharpness and energy in dance that is usually meant for senior students! A huge congratulations to the team and thank you so much to all of the parents for their help leading up to, and on the day. And of course a massive thank you to Megan Malcolm who made their stunning costumes! Well done team: Ryan W, Ollie S, Piper P, Sophie W, Emily C, Lily P, Sammy B, Alyssa B, India M, Poppy L you can be so so SO proud of yourselves.
