Board Of Trustees Casual Vacancy

Following the resignation of Guy Irvine from our Board,due to work changes, we advertised for any interested parents to take on this position until the election next year. The TMCS BOT has selected Gina Woodfield as the candidate for our vacant parent trustee representative. Gina brings with her skills that will add to our Boards already impressive resume and specifically bring legal expertise to the set. Please see Gina’s bio below:-

Gina moved to Tamahere with her family four years ago, and has four children, three of whom are at Tamahere School and one preschooler. Gina studied Law and BA (Political Studies/English) at Otago University.  She had a career as a commercial lawyer before becoming CEO of a political party, and has since studied and worked for not-for-profit organisations. She is currently a full time mum with a busy family.

Casual Vacancy for an elected trustee

A casual vacancy has occurred on the board of trustees for an elected parent representative.

The board has resolved under section 105 of the Education Act 1989 to fill the vacancy by selection.

If ten percent or more of eligible voters on the school roll ask the board, within 28 days of this notice being published, to hold a by-election to fill the vacancy, then a by-election will be held.
