AG Day - Mycoplasma Bovis

posted Jun 27, 2018, 8:55 PM by Reception @TMCS

It is a hugely challenging time for our dairy and beef farmers at present with the concerns around  Mycoplasma Bovis (MBovis) and the significant implications this could have on individual farmers and our whole country if this disease spreads.

Our Board and Staff don’t want, through our wonderful Ag Day, to put any farmers or animals at risk. To avoid any pressure leading up to Ag Day we have decided that for our 2018 Ag Day there will be no Dairy or Beef animal categories. We hope that instead we have a high number of kids and lambs and would also welcome other livestock animals that can be happily managed on the day without undue stress e.g. pigs, alpaca for a novelty / interest section.
