Thank you to all the wonderful adults who have volunteered their time to be an overnight adult supervisor on our camp at Finlay Park from June 7th to June 9th. We will be going through our forms and selecting our helpers shortly. We will let you know if you have been selected before the end of the term by letter.
After taking into consideration the cost inflation prices of our camp contractors, the final cost for camp will be $150 per child this year. This will need to be paid before June. The cost includes all accommodation, activities and catering. We will be asking for home baking and fruit for snacks closer to the time. Adult supervisors do not need to pay a fee as we respect that you have taken time off work to help.
Please follow this link to the Gear List for camp so you can start gathering items over the holidays. Remember the saying “Cotton is Rotten” when you look at choosing clothing. When wet, cotton gets heavy, takes a long time to dry and sits cold against the skin. “Wool is Cool!” Even when wet, it will keep you warm. All children will need a heavy duty raincoat (a puffer jacket or poncho will not be suitable). Old clothes and shoes are best as they will get muddy!
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of the year 4 camp teachers.
