Library News

Our school along with many across Australia and New Zealand are taking part in this activity. Mrs Kewish will be reading the book to the wholes school at 1pm next Wednesday. One of the goals is for over 1 million children across both countries to be listening to the same book at the same time. All children at our school who participate will go in the draw to win a signed copy of the book.

Parent help needed for a one off library working bee. The library is getting new browsing shelves installed in the picture book area. This will make the area more user friendly for the juniors and middle school and extend the life of the picture books.

So all the picture books need an alphabet sticker put on the front cover and covered with tape. It would take a very long time for me (Mrs Kewish) to do it alone. If there is anyone who is happy to help that would be very much appreciated.

Help needed Wednesday 23rd May all day and Thursday 24th May until 12pm(if we don’t finish on Wednesday).

Even if you can just give an hour or two, many hands make light work.

If you can help or have any questions tkewish@tamahere.school.nz
