Gifted Children Event

posted Jun 7, 2015, 2:16 PM by Reception @TMCS

The New Zealand Association for Gifted Children is celebrating 40 years of serving our community of Gifted and Talented youth.
On 3-5 July 2015 we are hosting a magnificent 3 day event at Waikato University.

We welcome all members of the Gifted and Talented community and all professionals who have an interest in gifted education.

The line up for the kids will appeal to both intuitive and rational minds. Including the inventor of the 'World's longest piano', Robotics, Tristan Pang's 'beyond the numbers' workshop and the Student speaker forum.

The adult program is equally stimulating.
Dr Michelle Dickinson (aka Nanogirl) shares her experience growing up, feeling isolated within the traditional education system and she talks to parents and educators about confidence building and coping techniques.

International speakers on 'Powerful strategies to enhance the learning of gifted and highly capable students'  and 'Peak Performance for smart kids' are not to be missed.
The New Zealand Association of Gifted Children Conference is the number #1 / must attend - event of the year, for anyone/everyone in the gifted community.
