Flippa Ball

posted Apr 10, 2019, 2:11 PM by Reception @TMCS

We just finished our season of flippaball last Sunday and our three Tamahere teams did very well.  We practised every Thursday at lunch time in our school pool and played our games every Sunday at St Peters indoor pool. All the players learned to pass the ball around the team, get into ‘free’ space to receive the ball and get away from their opposing player. We’ve seen improvement in swimming with the ball and shooting at goal too.

Emma P enjoyed being goalie in the flippa ball games because she got to use two hands and she liked stopping goals. Casey S liked being on attack in the flippa ball games.

Tamahere Marlins won Division 2

Tamahere Dolphins came 4th in Division 1

Tamahere Sharks came 6th

We were very proud of our results and it was awesome to see the huge improvement from last season. Congratulations to all of our players and a HUGE thanks to all the whanau who drove us to games and cheered us on. We loved playing Flippaball!

Flippaball will begin again in Term 4. Are you ready for the challenge?
