Many thanks for the wonderful effort put in by 13 troops and helpers at the Dad's Army working bee. The aim was to clear the site for the new storage shed. We accomplished most of this aim during the morning. The small orchard has been re-located, potting shed moved, a large concrete slab broken up and lean-to's dismantled.
A special thank you to Dave White who provided the digger (used to trench the feijoa hedge) and Peter Coxhead for the use of his tractor (used to shift trees and waste). Also, thanks to Peter's son Jordon (an ex-pupil), Alan Spice (who arranged for the digger) as well as to Angie Millar and Sarah Anderson who provided an amazing morning tea of eclairs and pie. Well done all round! Approximately 60 man (and woman) hours were involved.
